After a period of growth our established client is looking to recruit an additional engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare harness designs, BOM\’s (Bill of Materials) and drawings. Coordinate and monitor engineering projects.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with the customers to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Support quotation preparation process.
  • Translate customer specifications and requirements into production ready documentation.
  • Support the assembly process development for new and existing products to maximise efficiency, reduce variability and achieve product quality.
  • Oversee the manufacture of prototype and First Article products.
  • Support the completion of Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis & Action for new and existing products.
  • Support material and component cost down projects by investigating and approving alternate parts and suppliers.
  • Support product integration into Production (assess requirements for new tooling, jigs etc.)
  • Actively participate in improvement activities across the Site.
  • Follow all company standards / procedures / work instruction relevant to the role.
  • Develop business APQP and PPAP process.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Document Management Process (DMS) and monitor compliance to process.
  • Any other Management requests.

Qualifications

  • Educated to A level standard minimum in Maths, English.
  • Minimum HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Previous experience working within harnessing or electronics manufacturing (preferred)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint.)
  • Proficient if the use of Harnware and Visio. (preferred – training will be provided.)
