Key responsibilities

  • Lead EHS on the site
  • Report on Health, Safety and Environmental activities
  • Carry out or coordinate EHS related training
  • Ensure accident or incident investigations are carried out in a professional and thorough manner in accordance with HSE guidelines
  • Ensure ongoing ISO 50001 Energy management compliance
  • Site contact for EHS/Social Audit
  • Driving the risk assessment process, carrying out some RAs, ensuring the RA team are skilled, and that all documentation is accurately completed and on time
  • Generating a Health and Safety Plan to improve and develop EHS procedures, activities and employee skills, knowledge and behaviours
  • Carry out inspections & audit of work areas with senior Managers
  • Promote a positive behavioural Health, Safety and Environmental culture
  • Carrying out other EHS related activities which are within the ability of the job holder as and when required

Qualifications: (essential for the role)

  • Health & Safety Professional Qualification: NEBOSH / IEMA / IOSH / COSHH
  • Degree level or equivalent experience gained from within a Manufacturing and Medical devices or pharmaceutical environment

ADDITIONAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR ATTRIBUTES

  • Use of statistical methods & practices
  • Good interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Intermediate level IT skills
  • The flexibility to work in other locations, including internationally, if required on an ad-hoc basis
