Workshop Technician (Wireline)

Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunities for a Workshop Technician to join the Archer Well Services team.

The successful candidate will assemble, service and maintain Wireline a equipment in the workshop.

You will be based in Altens, Aberdeen. You will join on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist workshop foreman / workshop team with a focus on HSE, good housekeeping practices.
• Work alongside the Workshop Foreman, relevant Workshop Team, Operations Coordinators, and Offshore team to assist/coordinate to prepare, coordinate and execute loadouts and backloads.
• Assist Certification Controller in ensuring outgoing equipment adheres to certification policies.
• Performing PM’s on downhole tooling and surface equipment and update maintenance records where required.
• Coordinating with the logistics team with the preparation of loadouts and backloads.
• Initiate backload procedures with workshop team upon equipment return.
• Assisting in pressure control equipment maintenance and pressure testing in-house.
• Ensure correct documentation on tooling is updated and compliant with Archer Wireline procedural documentation.
• Coordinate packing and loading/unloading shipping containers.
• Assist in rig-up and function/compatibility testing of equipment.
• Operate forklift when required.
• Embrace and adapt to changing job assignments to suit operational requirements.
• Understand loadout requirements and conduct relevant checks against the planned loadout to ensure all required equipment, tooling and consumables are available, correctly identified and fit for purpose..

Requirements:

• Technical qualification/apprenticeship essential.
• Must have experience in a similar hands-on Wireline role
• Right to work in the UK is essential.
