Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will join the Well Services Workshop team and carry out equipment maintenance of all Wireline, Surface Solutions, and Pressure Control Equipment. You will also undertake inspection, organise equipment for load out, pack containers and receive backloads. You will be based in Blackburn, Aberdeen on a full-time, permanent basis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and calibration to meet business activity and Service Quality KPI, ensuring equipment is in good working condition to minimise downtime.
- Carry out equipment inspection and certification, ensuring compliance with local industry standards while driving cost control.
- Ensure documentation and maintenance checklists are completed and compliant with Archer Well Services processes, verified by the Workshop Supervisor before equipment mobilisation.
- Work from equipment mobilisation lists and identify equipment required per mobilisation, highlighting any shortfalls to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Ensure certification dates are compliant and highlight anything non-compliant to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Actively contribute to good cooperation and communication at all levels in the organisation.
- Actively use Stop Work Authority when required and utilise the observation reporting system.
- Strive for continuous improvement and take any improvement suggestions up with the Workshop Supervisor.
- Adhere to procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy.
- Always ensure good housekeeping in the workshop.
Requirements:
- Technical qualifications in mechanical maintenance.
- Previous experience in maintaining Wireline, Surface Solutions and PCE Equipment is essential.
- Analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems.
- Self-motivated and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK is essential.
