Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our Well Services team based in our Blackburn premises in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities
- Assist workshop supervisor/onshore team with a focus on HSE, good housekeeping practices.
- Work alongside the Workshop Supervisor, Operations Coordinators and Offshore team to assist on loadouts and backloads.
- Record certification of wireline equipment and rig up gear and assist on updating information on company tracking software.
- Complete all Wireline maintenance checklists in line with Archer’s policies and procedures.
- Receiving equipment backloads and working with the maintenance supervisor to carry out maintenance processes in accordance with maintenance manuals and technical bulletins. Ensure quality standards are continuously maintained and followed.
- Assisting in pressure control equipment maintenance and pressure testing in-house.
- Mentor other team members to ensure optimum service quality.
- Lead safety culture with focus on Archer’s five core values in line with other workshop personnel.
- Assist maintenance supervisor in compiling correct documentation on tooling. This is to remain updated and compliant with Archer Wireline procedural documentation at all times.
Experience
- High school diploma or technical certification recognised by industry
- 3-5 years previous experience in a mechanical related role.
- Wireline experience preferred.
- Hydraulic experience preferred.
- Ability to work under own initiative and work closely in a team.
- Have strong time management skills.
- Be able to understand engineering drawings or documentation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word (Basic)
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
