Archer UK currently has an exciting opportunity for an Offshore Wireline Operator to register their interest in joining the team on the award of a large upcoming project.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background and experience in a similar Wireline-related role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced candidates to join on a long term P&A Campaign.

This will be an adhoc offshore role , joining on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Participate in preparation and execution of Wireline work.
  • Lead safety culture with focus on Archer’s five core values in line with other Archer personnel.
  • Contribute to the preparation of equipment checking that all necessary equipment is in place for required operations and any shortfalls alerted to the job supervisor in a prompt manner.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Report all deviations arising during operations and report these to the Wireline Supervisor.
  • Overlap and ensure experience transfer with the Wireline Operator on the opposite shift.
  • Keep the work-container, the winch, and surroundings, clean and tidy.
  • Participate in offshore activities as upgrading of equipment, maintenance and checking of equipment.
  • Contribute to maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all equipment offshore and ensuring any shortfalls are highlighted and requested through the job supervisor to be mobilized at the nearest opportunity.
  • Participate in loadout process of equipment for specified jobs, if required by line manager.

Requirements

  • Technical degree, apprenticeship or qualification preferred.
  • Experience in a similar offshore wireline related role is essential.
  • Be able to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings or documentation.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential.
