Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for a Well Services Workshop Foreman to join the team. The successful candidate will lead the Well Services Workshop team to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Foreman/Supervisor to join a busy and growing team that is taking even more maintenance in-house. You will be based in Blackburn, Aberdeen. You will join on a full-time, permanent basis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead Safety Culture with a focus on Archer with five core values in line with other workshop personnel.
- Manage workshop personnel, ensuring high workmanship standards, engaging in workforce planning, assisting training and mentoring workshop staff, and ensuring competency validation (with support from the Well Services Workshop Supervisor).
- Lead the Well Services Workshop Team/Allocating Work as requested by the Well Services Workshop Supervisor.
- Undertake maintenance on Well Services equipment.
- Provide cover for Well Services Workshop Supervisor in times of absence and be part of on-call rota.
- Review all equipment maintenance checklists in line with Archer's policies and procedures.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor in compiling equipment documentation and certification prior to sign-off.
- Make recommendations for improvement to the department's performance and efficiency.
- Audit work methods, checklists, and maintenance processes to ensure service quality compliance.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace.
- Mentor other team members to ensure optimum service quality.
- Inspect equipment during and after completion for workmanship, quality and cleanliness of assigned areas.
Requirements:
- Candidates with a strong mechanical maintenance background in Wireline and Pressure Control are essential.
- Technical qualifications in mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Must have experience in a comparable leadership role, leading hands-on technical experts.
- Must have equipment maintenance and planning experience.
- Energy sector experience.
- Mechanical, Hydraulic and/or Electrical experience/qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Be able to understand engineering drawings or documentation.
- Experience in completing job and maintenance documentation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word.
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK is essential.
