Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for Well Services Supervisor to register their interest in joining the team on the award of a large upcoming project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of well intervention, maintenance, and integrity activities offshore. The role involves direct supervision of well services crews and coordination with drilling, production, and support teams to ensure all operations meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
You will be involved with job planning and execution, post-job analysis and ensuring the excellent overall performance of Archer services while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company safety procedures. You should have the ability to work in a team and be part of multi-skill crew within the Archer Well Services division. You will be responsible for aligning all operations to our values by demonstrating that safety and performance is the highest priority. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced candidates to join on a long-term P&A Campaign. This will be an adhoc offshore role, joining on a full-time, permanent basis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise offshore well services operations including: Well intervention (slickline, wireline, coiled tubing).
- Well testing and stimulation.
- Scale removal, cleanouts, and pumping operations.
- Ensure operations are executed in accordance with approved Archer and client programs and procedures.
- Review well programs, procedures, and risk assessments prior to execution.
- Coordinate logistics, equipment, and personnel mobilisation.
- Interface with the onshore operations team to optimise operations.
- Be thoroughly familiar and promote the content of Archer’s governing systems.
- Monitor well conditions and operational parameters.
- Troubleshoot operational issues in real-time and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and properly maintained.
- Be thoroughly familiar with Archer’s data reporting systems and with Client specific reporting systems.
- Register all deviations arising during operations and report these to the onshore team.
- Influence and guide your co-workers so that the Client’s regulations and procedures are always followed.
- Participate in specialist training as instructed by the Company and Client.
- Participate in relevant project work/meetings, courses, and any additional work in relation with this.
- Ensure close dialogue with Archer onshore support and the client to ensure optimum tool selection for operational deployments.
- Promote and inform clients on the varying services on offer by Archer.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all equipment offshore and ensure any shortfalls are highlighted and requested to be mobilised at the nearest opportunity.
- Aid in development of process & procedure for Archer growing organisation.
- Participate in loadout process of equipment for specified jobs, if required by line manager.
Requirements:
- Technical degree, apprenticeship or qualification preferred.
- Valid IWCF (International Well Control Forum) Pressure Control Certificate Level 4.
- Extensive offshore energy experience in a similar role.
- A number of years in a supervisory role offshore essential.
- Proven experience in well intervention and well services operations; P&A experience advantageous.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of well services and intervention techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in offshore environments.
- High level of safety awareness and risk management.
- Right to work in the UK is essential.
