Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for Well Services Asset Manager to join the team.
The Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of all Well Service operational assets, with particular focus on Fishing, Slot Recovery Services and Slickline operation, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and value. The role is responsible for maximizing asset utilization, optimizing capital investment, and driving governance across planning, deployment, maintenance, and retirement activities.
You will act as a pivotal link in the execution of key projects, coordinating closely with Operations, Sales, Engineering, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams across multiple regions. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless service delivery, maximising equipment performance, and enabling timely and efficient mobilisation of wireline resources in support of both key ongoing operations and strategic opportunities.
You will be based in Blackburn, Aberdeen. You will join on a full-time, permanent basis. Flexibility will be availble but this position will be office based 5 days per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Resources Planning, including capacity Planning by developing and implementing tactical asset management plans to support operational demands and international deployment
- Work closely with operations and sales teams to forecast resource needs (equipment) and coordinate with Operations and Engineering to align asset readiness with project requirements globally
- Drive asset allocation decisions based on business priorities, asset condition, utilization, certification status, and commercial impact.
- Coordinate international asset deployment and relocation strategies to maximize fleet efficiency and minimize operational downtime.
- Act as the business process owner for asset management within the ERP environment, defining system requirements, workflows, master data standards, and governance.
- Drive the standardization and harmonization of asset management processes across all regions, ensuring consistent utilization of ERP functionality and data structures.
- Own the integrity, accuracy, and governance of asset data within ERP and asset management systems, ensuring full lifecycle traceability.
- Ensure data migration, asset master data integrity, and system controls are established and maintained to support accurate reporting, planning, maintenance, and financial management.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards and certification requirement
- Lead asset audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance asset visibility, planning accuracy, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Champion digital asset management solutions, process standardization, and best practices across global operations..
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in asset management in energy, oil & gas
- Operational expertise in deploying and managing tools designed for complex slot recovery tasks.
- Experience with ERP or asset management tools (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle, RTMS).
- Excellent analytical, planning, and leadership skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
