Archer is currently actively recruiting for two back to back Offshore Senior Electricians (MT1E) to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will support our client in deploying a newbuild compact workover rig to support the P&A activities on their asset. This will include supporting offshore operations to reinstate existing platform systems and prepare the platform to integrate the compact workover rig onto the platform.

There will also be a requirement to mobilise to international onshore manufacturing locations to support the project during the fabrication, first build, SIT/FAT and acceptance of the new compact workover rig and supporting equipment prior to it being shipped to the offshore location. The Electrician will be a vital part of the Maintenance Team and this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the newbuild compact workover rig throughout the manufacture, testing, mobilisation and operations. You will ensure all electrical maintenance is undertaken safely and to a high standard.

The successful candidates will work in the North Sea out of Dyce on a 3/3 rotation in the UK. The successful candidate also may have to travel to China for audits, build and FAT etc.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Integrate with OEM's during the manufacturing period, ensure compliance with the Build Standard and participate in overseeing the SIT/FAT and Acceptance of the equipment being supplied.
  • Support the operation offshore during the rig mobilisation and client acceptance test prior to and throughout the operations on the client's asset.
  • Manage and plan preventative & corrective maintenance operations for offshore maintenance team in accordance with Archer & client CMMS in order to meet safety, compliance and operational targets.
  • Ensure that all equipment under their control complies with statutory requirements and is maintained at all times in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service, including tools and instruments in their care.
  • Update or modify any drawings, sketches or information on existing and replacement equipment as required or provide such information to management.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of spare parts is maintained on the installation and is stored in environmentally sound conditions.
  • Check maintenance materials offloaded and liaise with Senior Company Representative to order/re-order stock as required to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
  • Carry out tasks as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team as operational requirements dictate.
  • Ensure that all Third Party personnel including Service Engineers comply with Company and Installation Safety Procedures and ensure that any equipment is suitable for use within the areas desired.
  • Provide such information to shore based maintenance personnel as may be required to meet Client safety, compliance and operational targets.
  • Recommend and when required implement modifications to equipment or systems to enhance safety, improve rig performance or comply with statutory notices.
  • To liaise daily with the Senior Company Representative regarding maintenance/repairs in order to properly plan ahead so as to avoid the risk of delay through equipment breakdown.
Requirements:
  • Must have relevant experience in a similar offshore role in the North Sea.
  • Compex Level 4.
  • BOSIET or FOET with CA-EBS.
  • MIST.
  • OGUK Medical.
  • Passenger Shoulder Measurement.
  • Electrical engineering qualifications/certifications.
  • Right to work in the UK essential.
  • Be available to travel internationally (Visa application will be supported).
