Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for a Rope Access Electrician / Rope Access Electrical Supervisor to join the team. You will join the team as a Contractor via Limited Company, 3/3 rotation starting July till the end of 2026.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Project work is performed safely, and in accordance with statutory and company regulations in accordance with good engineering practice.
- Liaise daily with the Senior Company Representative regarding scopes in order to properly plan ahead so as to avoid the risk of delay through inefficiencies.
- Ensure that all Third-Party personnel including Service Engineers comply with Company and Installation Safety Procedures.
- Ensure that all equipment under their control complies with statutory requirements and is maintained at all times in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service, including tools and instruments in their care.
- Update or modify any drawings, sketches or information on existing and replacement equipment as required or provide such information to management.
- Report any misuse of equipment to the Senior Company Representative.
- Ensure that all Project Materials are maintained on the installation and is stored in environmentally sound conditions.
- Check Project materials offloaded and liaise with Senior Company Representative and identify any shortfalls for efficient operation.
- Ensure that all applicable Company reports are completed.
- Provide such information to shore based construction personnel as may be required to meet client safety, compliance and operational targets.
- Assist with energisation and start-up activities.
- Identify installation defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Work within Permit to Work (PTW) and company safety management systems.
- Assist with red-line mark-ups and as-built documentation.
- Comply with hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx) requirements and Ex inspection standards.
- Comply with isolation procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and system safe (SS1) protocol.
- Carry out continuity, insulation resistance, loop, functional and system testing.
- Verify electrical installations against drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
Requirements:
- Must have relevant experience in a similar onshore/offshore role in the energy industry in the North Sea.
- Electrical engineering qualifications/certifications.
- Compex level 4.
- IRATA Rope Access (any level).
- BOSIET or FOET with CA-EBS.
- MIST.
- OGUK Medical.
- Passenger Shoulder Measurement.
- Right to work in the UK essential.
