Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join the team. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative and purchasing support across various areas in the Wireline department with a focus on Materials. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within Archer. This role will initially work towards achieving an SVQ3 in Business and Administration (SCQF level 6), supported by Tullos Training. This is 100% workplace based, with modules assigned. You will report to our Materials Planner and be based in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire. You will join on a full-time, permanent role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Procurement Support: Supporting the Materials Planner with sourcing and procuring third party supplied rental equipment. Ensuring costs are tracked accurately. Capture goods received and update ERP system (IFS) – Training will be provided. Perform matching and approval of supplier invoices for payment. Project creation in ERP system.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate purchase order logs and procurement trackers, including organisation of quotations and pricing information. Day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry. Run reports from the ERP system (IFS) – Training will be provided. Asset and Inventory coordination support. Support Wireline material requirements as required.
- Assistance in Meetings: Prepare meetings, record minutes of meeting, provide any necessary support, take after actions notes and arrange follow up.
Requirements:
- Our ideal candidate would have a good level of secondary level education.
- A sincere interest in working in Materials/Procurement.
- Good IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office programmes.
- Right to work in the UK is essential.
