Archer Well Services are looking for an E-Line Workshop Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will maintain all equipment in the wireline lab, assist with mobilisation preparation, carry out maintenance on backloaded equipment and work within a team to ensure that work is carried out in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with Archer policies and procedures. This role will be based at Blackburn, Aberdeenshire on a full time, permanent basis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform activities relating to equipment maintenance, servicing & calibration including:
- Electrical faultfinding using appropriate test equipment
- Electrical repair and replacement of parts to board level, soldering
- Electrical continuity and leakage testing of down-hole equipment
- Mechanical strip down, maintenance, repair and testing of assigned equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or technical certification recognised by industry.
- EX competent & approved.
- Have 3 -5 years previous experience in an electronics related role.
- The ability to read wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
- Advanced skills on soldering and assembling of electro/mechanical devices.
- Previous work experience preferably in the related product line including but not limited to:
- Maintenance of Electronic & Mechanical based downhole tools.
- Fault finding & repair of downhole tools.
- Knowledge of Memory based & Eline based Surface Systems.
