Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice - Inventory & Quality Control Support to join the team. The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse inventory coordination functions by assisting with the receipt, inspection, tracking, and system updating of goods and materials. You will gain hands-on experience in logistics, inventory management, ERP systems, and quality control processes against engineering requirements. This role will initially work towards achieving an SVQ3 in Business and Administration (SCQF level 6), supported by Tullos Training. This is 100% workplace based, with modules assigned. You’ll be based in Blackburn, Aberdeen. You will join on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming parts, materials, and equipment deliveries.
  • Verify delivery documentation against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Capture goods received accurately within the company ERP system.
  • Assist with inventory and asset coordination activities.
  • Support stock control and inventory accuracy within stores and warehouse locations.
  • Conduct quality checks on received parts and materials to ensure compliance with specifications and company standards.
  • Report damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming items to the relevant department.
  • Label, store, and organise materials in designated locations.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing of delivery and inventory documentation.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with HSE requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement activities within logistics and warehouse operations.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work safely and follow procedures.
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn ERP systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential.
