We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Drama Teacher to join (Academy Name) on a temporary basis through our agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative drama lessons to students across Key Stages (insert relevant KS, e.g. 3 and 4), fostering a love of performance, creativity, and self-expression. This role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real impact within a supportive and forward-thinking academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Drama lessons in line with the academy’s curriculum.
- Inspire, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where creativity and collaboration are encouraged.
- Prepare students for assessments and performances as appropriate.
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including extra-curricular drama and performance opportunities where applicable.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met at all times.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent, with specialism in Drama.
- Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver lessons that inspire creativity.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude.
