Are you a dedicated and experienced SENCO looking to take on a strategic leadership role in a thriving secondary school? This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Learning Support team and shape the direction of SEND provision across the school community in Streatham .
About the Role
As SENCO , you will be responsible for leading and managing SEND strategy and practice, ensuring full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and delivering exceptional outcomes for students with special educational needs and disabilities. This is a key position with whole-school influence , offering you the chance to lead professional development, guide teaching practices, and champion inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and evaluation of SEND provision across the school
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date SEND profile
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
- Embed inclusive, high-quality teaching practices throughout the curriculum
- Track and monitor the progress and outcomes of students with SEND
- Deliver training and development to staff, promoting SEND awareness and expertise
- Manage the effective deployment of learning support assistants and resources
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has substantial experience working with students with SEND
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusion strategies
- Able to influence whole-school improvement through leadership and collaboration
