We are currently recruiting for an experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join a busy community-based service in Newham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse on their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of clients with substance misuse needs
- Completing comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery plans
- Delivering harm reduction advice and structured interventions
- Supporting clients with referrals to external agencies and support services
- Conducting regular keyworking sessions and maintaining accurate case notes
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a substance misuse/recovery setting
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
- Excellent communication and caseload management skills
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential
- Available to start at short notice preferred
