An established insurance firm in London is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer for a 6-month contract to support a series of digital transformation initiatives. This role offers outside IR35 engagement with flexibility to work from home, though occasional travel to the London office may be required for key meetings or workshops. You will work across a range of projects focused on streamlining business operations, integrating systems, and enhancing analytics capabilities using the Microsoft Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust applications and automation workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Design and implement scalable data models, canvas and model-driven apps.
- Build and maintain custom connectors, integrate with REST APIs, and enhance functionality with Power Fx and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and project stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and environment governance where necessary.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing solutions, ensuring performance, usability, and compliance with best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
- Strong knowledge of Power Fx, JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience building custom connectors.
- Proven track record in delivering low-code solutions within complex enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and integration techniques.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Familiarity with Azure, Dynamics 365, or Power BI.
- Microsoft certifications (PL-400, PL-600) or equivalent practical experience.
