Job description
We are offering a unique opportunity for a passionate Counsellor in Hinckley to join a forward-thinking, service-led organisation known for its commitment to mental health and employee wellbeing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Delivering immediate emotional support and guidance through telephone-based counselling services.
- Conducting clinical assessments, risk assessments, and providing appropriate signposting.
- Working in line with BACP ethics, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Engaging in structured video counselling sessions, with time counted towards BACP accreditation.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all case management is handled efficiently.
- Providing CBT mentoring and applying solution-focused techniques to help callers reach positive outcomes.
- Participating in ongoing training, working with complex issues such as trauma and safeguarding.
Requirements :
- Minimum of a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4) with at least 150 counselling hours inclusive of placement hours.
- 10 months’ post-qualification experience and a registered member of BACP (or equivalent).
- High level of computer literacy.
- Experience dealing with safeguarding concerns.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
