The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career counselling professional to join a respected organisation delivering high-quality emotional wellbeing services nationwide. The Role
For the first six months, you will work within a helpline setting, providing in-the-moment emotional support and Solution Focused Brief Therapy via telephone, live chat, and video. You will develop your skills in safeguarding, risk assessment, and clinical evaluation, working in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. The role will also involve structured video counselling sessions that can contribute towards your BACP accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver responsive and professional telephone counselling services
- Assess client needs and determine the most appropriate support
- Provide immediate, solution-focused interventions where possible
- Work effectively with a range of presenting issues, including high-risk cases
- Maintain accurate and detailed records on the internal system
- Conduct clinical assessments to ensure appropriate care pathways are followed
- Apply safeguarding and risk management procedures in line with policy
- Respond to email and web-based enquiries within agreed timescales
- Manage a caseload of video counselling sessions, including CBT-based work
- Consistently deliver high standards of client care
What You’ll Bring
