SV Care Services are opening a brand-new solo children’s home in Basildon, supporting a young person aged 8–18 with SEBD and challenging behaviours. This is the first of several homes planned under one registration, and we’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead this provision and help shape the future of our expanding network across Essex.

As Registered Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a home that prioritises emotional security, structure, and personalised care. You’ll lead with passion, purpose, and integrity—building and nurturing a dedicated team that delivers outstanding care and helps young people thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the solo home in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards.
  • Lead on care planning, safeguarding, staffing, quality assurance, and home development.
  • Ensure the young person receives consistent, trauma-informed care tailored to their needs.
  • Build a positive, supportive culture—mentoring, motivating, and developing staff.
  • Manage budgets, audits, rota planning, and resources effectively.
  • Act as a strong advocate for the young person and represent the service in professional networks and inspections.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a strong, experienced leader who is committed to building something exceptional.

Essential Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in residential childcare.
  • 1+ year as a Registered or Deputy Manager.
  • Strong leadership, auditing, and budgeting skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Reg 44/45 and SCCIF.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and team-building skills.
  • Current Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (required).

Why Work With SV Care Services?

At SV Care Services, we believe every child deserves safety, dignity, and opportunity. We’re proud to create homes where young people can heal, grow, and prepare for independence.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary (£50–60k).
  • Bonus for each Ofsted inspection (up to £5k).
  • On-target earnings up to £80k.
  • Clear pathway to dual registration as we expand (up to 4 homes).
  • Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities.
  • Full support from senior leadership.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
