Archer Recruitment Group is currently recruiting an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions for locum opportunities across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist experience in substance misuse to secure a well-paid, flexible locum post.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions, you will provide expert clinical leadership and psychiatric care to individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency, working across community, inpatient or dual diagnosis settings depending on the service.
Role details:
- Location: UK Wide
- Pay rate: £700 - £900 per day
- Contract: Locum, full-time or part-time sessions considered
- Registration: Full GMC registration with a licence to practise; Section 12 approval desirable
- DBS: On the Update Service (or willing to apply)
What you'll be doing:
- Leading clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with substance misuse and dual diagnosis needs
- Prescribing and reviewing medication as part of a recovery-focused treatment plan
- Providing clinical supervision and leadership to the wider multi-disciplinary team
- Liaising with GPs, recovery workers and other agencies involved in a patient's care
- Ensuring care is delivered in line with CQC and NHS/private provider clinical standards
What we're looking for:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the specialist register (or eligible)
- Proven experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist within substance misuse / addiction services
- Section 12 approval desirable
- DBS on the Update Service
- Strong leadership and multi-disciplinary team working skills
