We are recruiting Temporary & Permanent MV Switchgear Electricians for a global manufacturer of critical power infrastructure at its switchgear manufacturing facility near Derry. The site builds medium voltage switchgear and power systems for data centres and critical infrastructure worldwide. Demand is high and the team is being built up now. It's factory work in one location, with a minimum of 40 hours a week guaranteed. Temporary salary is from £27 - £33 per hour. The role * Building, wiring and assembling MV and LV switchgear and switchboards * Wiring control and protection circuits from schematics and wiring diagrams * Busbar assembly, terminations and internal cabling * Checks and testing as part of the build process * Working to quality standards and build documentation * Reporting to a Team Lead within a structure position What we're looking for * Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, AM2) * Experience building or wiring switchgear, switchboards or control panels * Confident working from schematics and wiring diagrams * MV experience preferred; strong LV switchgear and panel builders will be considered * ECS Gold Card and 18th Edition desirable * Existing right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available) What's on offer Temporary * £27 to £33 per hour depending on experience * Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week * Accommodation arranged and paid for * Travel covered: mobilisation, regular trips home, and demobilisation * Paid induction * PPE provided * Initial 2 months, with a strong chance of extension and further projects * Opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right people Permanent * Salary up to £48,000 depending on experience * Relocation support for candidates moving to the area * Permanent role with a global manufacturer * Long-term stability with a growing business * Training and progression * One-stage interview with a decision within a week * Immediate starts available
