Are you a qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist looking for a role where no two calls are the same? We are currently recruiting for Daytime Counsellors/Psychotherapists to join an established wellbeing service in the Manchester area.
The role:
- As a counsellor/psychotherapist with us, you'll be supporting people who get in touch with the service for immediate emotional and wellbeing support.
- Rather than working with a set caseload or seeing the same clients week after week, you'll be having one-off telephone conversations with people reaching out at the point they need support.
- Calls can cover a wide range of topics, including anxiety, stress, low mood, relationships, bereavement, work and personal difficulties.
- Your role will be to listen, understand what the caller needs, provide appropriate therapeutic support and help them identify the most suitable next steps.
You’ll also:
- Take inbound calls from people looking for emotional support.
- Provide counselling and therapeutic support during the call.
- Complete appropriate assessments.
- Identify and respond to risk and safeguarding concerns.
- Use your professional judgement to determine the appropriate support.
- Signpost callers to relevant services where needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical records.
- Work alongside a wider team of counselling and wellbeing professionals.
What’s on offer:
- £30,000 - £33,000 per annum.
- 5 weeks fully paid training for all counsellor/psychotherapists.
- £70 monthly contribution towards supervision for counsellors/psychotherapists.
- BACP membership paid after probation.
- Access to a CPD Hub.
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
- Birthday off.
- Salary reviews every 6 months.
- Set daytime shifts, with no rotating nights.
About you:
You’ll need to be a qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist with relevant counselling experience and membership of a recognised professional body. You’ll be confident working independently, managing sensitive conversations and supporting people presenting with a wide range of emotional difficulties. If you enjoy variety, one-off therapeutic conversations and being there for people when they need support, this could be a great opportunity.
