Base pay range

The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects in Student Accommodation, Build to Rent, Retirement Living, and Co-Living sectors.

The company has a modern office in the heart of the City of London, a close-knit team with a wealth of industry experience, and there is flexibility for hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Assess and manage project variations and change control processes.
  • Prepare valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts and procurement strategies.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects remain on budget and schedule.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • MRICS qualification or working towards RICS accreditation (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of standard contract forms such as JCT and NEC.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
