The Business Development Manager is a high-impact enterprise seller who owns the full sales cycle for large FSI accounts, driving adoption of Archer Evolv — Archer’s flagship AI-powered Integrated Risk Management platform. You will focus on new logo acquisition and expansion within Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, insurers, asset managers, and other regulated financial institutions across the UK. This is a true hunter role that demands proven large-deal execution in complex, highly regulated environments, deep FSI and GRC expertise, and the ability to run sophisticated, multi-quarter strategic sales cycles both direct and via selected Big 4 consulting partners.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Consistently win ÂŁ1M+ ARR contracts through new business and expansion sales of Archer Evolv into complex FSI enterprise accounts.
  • Own and maintain a rolling pipeline of ÂŁ13M ACV/ARR in the UK FSI territory, delivering 10x coverage based on quota and historical win rates.
  • Build and execute disciplined account plans; confidently lead internal cross-functional teams (pre-sales, solutions consulting, legal, product, marketing) through carefully orchestrated sales plays.
  • Partner effectively with Big 4 firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG) and other strategic influencers in region to navigate longer, consensus-driven sales cycles while protecting Archer’s value and pricing.
  • Actively use AI tools to research, personalize, and execute regulatory and GRC-specific outreach campaigns tailored to UK and EU financial services regulations.
  • Run professional, high-velocity campaigns and cadences using modern sales tools; maintain impeccable data hygiene and forecasting accuracy.
  • Skilfully qualify, advance, and close opportunities using MEDDPICC, Miller Heiman, or SPIN methodologies; clearly differentiate Archer Evolv from competitors throughout the buying process.
  • Develop executive-level relationships with C-suite and board-level buyers (CRO, CCO, Chief Audit Executive, CIO, CISO, DPO) in UK-based financial services organisations.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Archer Evolv’s AI capabilities and the competitive landscape; articulate clear differentiation in every customer conversation.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and penetrate target FSI accounts in the UK using a strategic territory plan focused on maximum ROI for Archer Evolv.
  • Convert both inbound and self-generated outbound leads into qualified pipeline.
  • Negotiate and close complex contracts while protecting margin and value.
  • Collaborate with marketing, partners (especially Big 4), and leadership on targeted UK FSI campaigns and events.
  • Continuously transfer market, regulatory, and customer intelligence back into the organisation to refine positioning and product strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated B2B SaaS “hunter” role selling GRC, IRM, audit, compliance, cyber risk, or related solutions — ideally within the Financial Services sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning and expanding large enterprise deals (ÂŁ1M+ ARR) with UK or similar regulated financial institutions.
  • Deep industry knowledge of Archer Evolv and its key competitors, including CUBE, LexisNexis, Corlytics, and Wolters Kluwer; ability to position Archer’s differentiated AI-powered value in every sales situation.
  • Mastery of modern enterprise sales methodologies: MEDDPICC, Miller Heiman, or SPIN.
  • Confident running account plans and orchestrating internal resources through complex, multi-stakeholder sales plays.
  • Self-starter who is proficient with SFDC, HubSpot, and a broad range of sales productivity tools (sequencing, enrichment, AI-assisted outreach).
  • Regular user of AI to accelerate regulatory/GRC research and personalised prospecting.
  • Solid working knowledge of risk, compliance, audit, ESG, cyber risk, and vendor risk domains within Financial Services.
  • Highly beneficial: Hands-on experience discussing UK and EU regulatory frameworks such as DORA, NIS2, GDPR, EU AI Act, SMCR, Basel, Solvency II, and other compliance standards relevant to UK FSI; ability to lead risk and compliance conversations at the executive level in a financial services context.
  • Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Professional certifications in risk/compliance (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISSP) or sales methodologies are a plus.
