We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technical Advisor to join our dynamic commercial team on a 12 month Maternity cover. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for veterinary professionals and pet owners, providing expert technical support and training to our UK and international sales teams. You'll collaborate with veterinary practices, referral centres, and universities, while also working closely with marketing and R&D to develop innovative products and educational materials. Your Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for veterinary enquiries from veterinary professionals and pet owners.
- Provide excellent training and technical support to our UK and International sales teams (from the UK).
- Provide technical support to veterinary practices, referral centres and universities.
- Work with the marketing team to produce product literature, presentations and articles.
- Work in conjunction with other departments to develop new and innovative products for the Veterinary market.
- Carry out and analyse literature searches related to ingredients and products.
- Attend veterinary congresses in the UK and abroad.
- Engage a network of KOL’s to promote product awareness and advocacy.
- Ensure that the site health and safety policy & work procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Carry out any work which the company may from time to time deem necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent.
- MRCVS.
- Experience in small animal practice is highly desirable.
- Experience in a sales or technical role in the animal health industry is desirable.
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional verbal/ written communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Aptitude for working both as a team member and individual contributor.
- Professional presentation development and delivery through concise written and visual representations.
- Ability to travel regularly within the UK with some overnight stays (Full UK driving licence).
