An opportunity has arisen for a Shift Miller at our Seaforth, Liverpool site. The main purpose of this role is to ensure a safe, efficient Flour Milling operation to meet the requirements of the business. The individual must also ensure that safety, Mill performance and quality targets are achieved. Coaching and mentoring other members of the Mill team is also a key part of the role along with deputising for the Production Manager in their absence.
Your Responsibilities
- Work within the company safety and health guidelines around Life Critical Standards requirements.
- Efficient utilisation of the Intake, Screen room & Milling plants to ensure Manufacturing Excellence standards are achieved.
- Production planning, gristing and optimising the flour mill to maintain/exceed all KPI's.
- Play an active role in maintenance planning and stock management of mill perishable items.
- Drive Operational improvements, Performance Excellence & energy reduction initiatives.
- Ensure that Corporate & Regulatory requirements around Food Safety are achieved.
- Actively assist in the Site clean as you go policy to drive Hygiene standards within Production areas.
- Effectively Communicate with other departments to ensure site requirements are managed effectively.
- Coaching and mentoring of Site Operative team across all Production areas.
- Participate in call out rota as required.
Your Profile
- Full UK Flour Millers Milling Qualification (Modules 1 – 7) or be working towards.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Basic Food Hygiene.
- HACCP Awareness.
- IOSH working safely.
- Microsoft packages (inc Word, Excel, Outlook etc).
- Forklift Truck licence.
- HACCP Level 3 (desirable).
- Advanced Milling Diploma (desirable).
- Craft Skills in Flour Milling (desirable).
- IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
