Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for the analysis of packed products, oils and margarines and recording of data into LIMs systems.
- Assessing compliance with the specification of packed products, oils and margarines; ensuring that products that fall outside the analytical or quality parameters are placed on hold.
- Ensuring all samples are received on a timely basis and that reference samples are kept and stored in a food safe condition
- Ensuring effective communication of all relevant data and issues between shifts and with the various process departments.
- Responsible for packing and dispatching samples to external laboratories.
- Responsible for complying with all ADM standards and procedures and ensuring all work is conducted safely at all times.
- Maintenance, calibration and operation of laboratory equipment, ensuring correct functioning and trouble- shooting where necessary for the site.
- Ensuring appropriate stocks of chemical and disposable goods are maintained. This includes ordering and associated administration.
- Participation in site continuous improvement activities
- Provision of support for product development activities when required.
Your Profile
- Educated to HNC level chemistry or equivalent
- Experience working in an analytical laboratory within a manufacturing environment
- Oils and fats knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of HPLC
- Good written and verbal communication
- Good level of computer skills
- GCSE level of education
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Performance and results orientated
