The role will involve the operation of process equipment within the technical department to provide high quality extracts from hops. You will assist in many aspects of day-to-day operations from routine maintenance to cleaning of equipment and general workplace tidiness and cleanliness within the department and work area.
Main Responsibilities:
- To assist in the operation, maintenance and cleaning of two CO2 extraction machines and associated equipment.
- To ensure a high level of housekeeping across the department and work area for food safety.
- Labelling, packing and filling out paperwork to a high level of accuracy in a timely manner, as instructed by the Technical Innovations Manager.
- To follow the company policy on waste reduction across the site.
- To follow company HACCP policy through Safe Operating Procedures (SOP’S).
- To follow the company food quality standards (ISO FSSC22000, ISO9001) whilst undertaking duties.
- To ensure all Health and Safety requirements are always followed across the site. Help to identify and fill any gaps in safety that may arise. Reporting of all accidents, near misses and property damage to Management.

- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others both internally and externally.
- Attention to detail and maintaining a high quality of work in a busy factory environment.
- Presentable, with excellent communication skills with the confidence to ask questions to ensure job requirements are understood.
- Ability to work to instruction and on own initiative when required.
- Good IT skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and processes, with the ability to operate and control equipment.
- Not fazed by strong aromas and seasonal hot or cold working conditions.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Education & Experience:
- GCSE in Combined Science or Chemistry, Maths and English.
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining machinery and equipment.
