The Mechanical Maintenance Technician provides mechanical engineering services across the entire Erith ADM site. The position is an integral part of the maintenance team and will involve performing reactive, planned and predictive maintenance tasks.
Your Responsibilities:
- Performing planned maintenance inspections on mechanical apparatus throughout the processing facility.
- Repairing and installing a wide range of mechanical equipment using precision maintenance techniques.
- Inspecting equipment and participating in equipment health discussions.
- Responding to breakdowns, including some out of hours.
- Using the CMMS system to raise and update work orders.
- Participate in the creation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements for maintenance tasks.
- Understanding of maintenance metrics.
- Support organisational initiatives.
- Mentor and coach colleagues where needed.
Your Profile:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally, written and electronically through email.
- Experience of using Microsoft computer packages.
- CMMS knowledge is preferable.
- Working at height and confined space working will be required.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Reliable and adaptable.
- Ability to work in a team.
- C&G, NVQ, ONC or HNC in Mechanical Maintenance/Engineering.
- Mechanical maintenance apprenticeship.
- Experience within an industrial maintenance environment.
