Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic, collaborative environment? We’re seeking a commercially minded and analytically strong finance professional to join our team in a permanent position that will evolve over time.
For the first 18-24 months, the role will primarily focus on providing backfill cover for a Financial Controller/Management Accountant position, whilst the business undertakes a significant transformation to the existing ERP system. During this period you’ll help prepare monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgets, while assisting in the smooth day-to-day running of the local finance function.
Following this period the role will transition, likely into a more FP&A and Finance business partner position, being an integral role to the finance function, supporting the commercial and operations teams to drive business performance through insightful analysis, strategic decision-making support and continuous improvement initiatives. With this change in role, the title of the position is also likely to change.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys both the technical aspects of finance and partnering with the wider business to deliver results.
Your Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly journals and assisting with Management and Group reporting.
- Producing financial KPI reports for local and wider management.
- Maintenance of schedules, such as accruals and depreciation.
- Balance sheet & inter-company reconciliations.
- Assisting in the production of monthly forecasts, annual budgets and ad hoc reporting.
- Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks if required.
- Assisting with the Annual Statutory audit and Internal Audits.
- Various other accounts tasks as and when needed.
Beyond the initial 18-24 month period, the role will evolve in line with the future needs of the business. Whilst there is an expectation that the position will move towards a more commercially focused finance partnering and analytical role, the exact responsibilities have intentionally not been fully defined. This reflects the dynamic nature of the organisation and the opportunities that will emerge following the completion of a significant ERP transformation.
