An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Engineer based in Stafford. The main purpose of the role is to provide electro-mechanical cover for our mixing and packing lines that produces sauces, syrups, fruit inclusions, and fillings.
The working hours are as follows – Monday to Friday 8 hour days: Week 1: 06:30 – 15:00; Week 2: 12:00 – 20:30
Responsibilities:
- Ensure supervision and safe operating procedures for visiting contractors
- Maintain Health & Safety rules and regulations
- Identify potential hazards/risks to the Health & Safety Manager/responsible person upon discovery
- Ensure all PPM schedules are completed and developed using predictive and diagnostic maintenance techniques
- Initiate improvement plans in a pragmatic and proactive manner
- Assist the engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts
- Follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts
- Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory
- Undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment
Your profile and entry requirements:
- Multi-skilled apprenticeship
- Electrical/Mechanical qualification, HND
- FMGC experience
- PC and PLC competent
- Significant troubleshooting and fault-finding diagnostics and resolution experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach
- DSEAR/ATEX experience
- Dedicated and enthusiastic individual, who can demonstrate strong team working, problem-solving and communication skills
