An opportunity has arisen at ADM Milling for a Multi Skilled Driver (LGV C & E). The main purpose of this role is to safely operate all types of the Company’s LGVs, delivering bulk and bagged products in an efficient, cost-effective and professional manner. The role will comprise of an average 48-hour working week with an element of shift pattern and flexible start times to meet operational demand. You will also be required to participate in the weekend working rota and the successful candidate must be prepared to undertake manual bagged flour deliveries when required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Working safely
  • Drive and operate the LGV vehicle in accordance with current legislation and company safety and health requirements
  • Loading/unloading and delivering flour sacks from LGVs to customers' premises in accordance with the company safe operating procedure
  • Loading/discharging bulk flour in accordance with company operating procedures
  • Assisting in training and development of colleagues
  • Dealing with customers in a professional manner
  • Cleaning vehicles (where applicable) at specified intervals and ensuring deliveries are undertaken in a hygienic manner
  • Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork (vehicle defect reports, daily driver debrief sheet, safety observation reports etc.)

Your Profile

  • A valid LGV C & E licence
  • DCPC qualification card
  • Comprehensive knowledge of road transport legislation (EU driver’s hours, RTD, Highway Code etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Understanding and trained in manual handling work
  • Knowledge of flour products and food hygiene
