About ADM Protexin Ltd: ADM Protexin LTD manufactures innovative, research based live bacteria products of the highest quality for the veterinary, human, agriculture and equine healthcare markets. With head office, manufacturing and distribution facilities based in Somerset, ADM Protexin distributes to over 90 countries worldwide.
The Role: To perform microbiological and chemical analysis of samples to a high quality, within agreed turnaround times, and in compliance with GLP, ISO 17025:2017 and cGMP standards. To maintain high laboratory standards and actively contribute to the successful operation of the laboratory.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analysis of test samples, including supporting activities such as the preparation and quality control of culture media.
- Accurately report test results to the customer and create Certificates of Analysis as required.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene in the laboratory at all times, including the cleaning and swabbing of equipment and laboratory as required.
- Perform routine internal calibration and performance checks of all necessary equipment, and arrange external calibration as required, ensuring records are accurately maintained.
- Report, record and investigate laboratory non-conformances, ensuring timely close out of all actions.
- Monitor stocks of consumables within the laboratory and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Participate in laboratory projects as required by the business.
- Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping and adhere to all health and safety standards at all times, including the use of PPE provided.
Your Profile:
Skills and Abilities: Computer skills – competent user of Microsoft Office suite. Experience of LIMS and statistical software desirable. Microbiological analysis skills – aseptic technique, pipetting, creating serial dilutions, sample plating, plate reading, preparation of culture media.Education and Experience: GCSE, or equivalent, in English, Maths, and Science. Level, or equivalent, in a science-related subject. At least 1 years’ laboratory experience.
