An opportunity has arisen at ADM Milling, for a HGV Class 1 Driver based in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will safely operate all types of the Company’s LGV’s, delivering bulk (class 1) or bagged (class 2) products. The role will comprise of an average 48 hour working week. In this role you will be required to work a shift pattern of any 5 days from 7 (inclusive of bank holidays). However, shift patterns may vary after consultation by the company. All roles require flexible start times and participation in the overtime working rota will be required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Working safely.
  • Drive and operate the LGV vehicle in accordance with current legislation.
  • Unloading and delivering flour sacks from LGV’s to customers premises.
  • Discharge bulk flour in accordance with company operating procedures.
  • Assist in training and development of colleagues.
  • Dealing with customers in a professional manner.
  • Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork (vehicle defect reports, daily driver debrief sheet, safety observation reports etc.).

Your Profile

  • A valid LGV C & E license.
  • DCPC qualification card.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of road transport legislation (EU driver’s hours, RTD, Highway Code etc.).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to lift heavy items (i.e. 16 kg flour sacks).
  • Previous bulk powder or liquid discharge experience an advantage, however full training will be given.
