Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing all warehouse functions, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. The role focuses on managing goods-in, stock management, picking, packing, replenishment, and dispatch while maintaining BRC standards and driving continuous improvements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead daily warehouse operations ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Develop and manage effective route planning, stock control, and order fulfilment processes.
- Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring statutory compliance.
- Oversee and manage warehouse staff, including shift patterns, appraisals, and training.
- Manage and report on KPIs, including stock integrity, on-time delivery, and pick efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales, 3PL, Supply Chain, and Finance teams for seamless operational integration.
- Maintain WMS data accuracy and ensure best practices in SOPs and operational procedures.
- Lead warehouse maintenance and equipment servicing schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are being always achieved.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Education & Experience:
- NVQ or equivalent in Management/Business Studies.
- Strong experience with WMS and warehouse operations.
- Experience in 3PL logistics, efficiency management, and health & safety compliance.
