Job Summary
The Parish Office Manager oversees the daily administrative operations of the parish office and provides professional support to the pastor, parish staff, volunteers, and parishioners.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the parish, ensuring efficient office management while promoting the mission and values of the Catholic Church through courteous, confidential, and compassionate service.
- Job Responsibilities
- Office Administration
- Manage the daily operations of the parish office.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and visitors in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Maintain office calendars, schedules, and meeting arrangements.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Develop and maintain efficient office procedures and filing systems.
- Coordinate facility use schedules and parish room reservations.
- Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the pastor, clergy, and parish staff.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, bulletins, forms, and other parish communications.
- Maintain parish records, including sacramental registers, membership information, and confidential files.
- Assist with scheduling liturgies, meetings, and parish events.
- Coordinate mailings and communication with parishioners.
- Job Requirements
- Three to five years of administrative or office management experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and parish management software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
