Job Summary
The Instructional Aide supports teachers in delivering instruction and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Working within a Catholic school setting, the aide helps reinforce academic skills while modeling Christian values and contributing to the faith-based mission of the school.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and instructional activities
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Support students in reading, writing, math, or other subject areas as directed
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful learning environment
- Prepare materials, organize classroom resources, and assist with grading tasks
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, or other non-instructional times
- Provide additional support for students with diverse learning needs
- Assist with classroom technology and basic troubleshooting
- Uphold and model Catholic values in interactions with students and staff
- Participate in school events, prayer, and liturgical activities
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Basic understanding of instructional support strategies
- Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively
