Room lead role 37 hours per week, between 7:45am and 6pm, all year round. The setting is a thriving, forward‑thinking and caring environment dedicated to enabling the best start in life for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment where children feel eager to explore and try new things.
  • Plan the provision for the room you lead, recording observations and sharing information with parents and carers to support learning at home.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to meet the needs of children and support each other’s development.
  • Use technology to communicate with families and the wider organisation.
  • Take initiative, solve problems and adapt to ever‑changing daily situations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification.
  • Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Childcare or Food Hygiene qualifications are an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a room lead is preferable but not essential.

About you

  • Passionate about working with children, calm, supportive, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated.
  • Good organisational skills, able to record observations, plan provision, and keep accurate records.
  • Capable of using a computer confidently for communication.
