We are looking to recruit a highly organised supervisor who has excellent interpersonal skills, able to support staff, students, parents and carers in a sensitive and confidential manner.

Key to the role are the following:

  • Supervision and management of students, monitoring and tracking of achievement, attendance, wellbeing, behaviour and attitude to learning alongside the Sixth Form team.
  • Oversight of the administration of the discretionary fund.
  • In agreement with the Director of Sixth Form, make amendments to student timetables and curriculum, ensuring curriculum hours are compliant with Sixth Form policy.
  • Ability to support the Director of Sixth Form, Head of Year 12, Head of Year 13 and Senior Leadership Team with a full range of tasks which will include preparation of trips and visits, support in preparing letters, documents and reports, support for Sixth Form events, including open evening and Year 13 prom, parents’ evenings and progress evenings.
  • Administration and support for the Year 10 and Year 11 transition process, as instructed by the Director of Sixth Form. Including organisation, attendance and facilitating both KS4 and KS5 Results Days, preparation for the start of term as required outside of term time, supported by the Director of Sixth Form.
  • Support the Director of Sixth Form, Sixth Form Tutors and students in preparation for University, Apprenticeship or Careers, which would include monitoring and checking UCAS applications and ensuring essential deadlines are met.
  • Central point of contact for staff (both internal and external providers), students and parents, ensuring all queries are signposted correctly or answered promptly. This includes working and liaising with parents to support students pastorally and help maintain levels of achievement.
  • Excellent use of all Google software, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), in addition to which, knowledge of SIMS would be desirable (although not essential).
  • Must be able to collect and analyse information and data for presentation to both internal and external sources.
  • And any other task as directed by the Director of Sixth Form.

The post is permanent, subject to a successful six month review and will begin as soon as possible.
