Archax operates a centralized crypto exchange alongside an FCA‑regulated Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF). In addition to these core services, Archax offers a comprehensive suite of solutions, including primary markets, OTC trading, and custody services for crypto assets, FIAT currencies, and securities. We are looking for a technically curious, hands‑on Application Support Engineer to join our growing technology team at a leading digital asset firm. You will work with developers and the business to support complex, high‑performance systems used for trading, market data, custody, OTC, regulatory reporting, and compliance. This is a hands‑on role that gives you the freedom to dig into issues – including down to the code.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and operate production systems supporting both regulated and unregulated trading activities.
- Investigate and resolve data‑related alerts and system issues, including code‑level debugging when necessary.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot complex issues and drive long‑term improvements.
- Provide first‑to‑third line support to internal and external parties across the firm, escalating and working with Developers as required.
- Help onboard new team members, customers, and applications into our support model.
- Continuously improve monitoring, runbooks, and operational processes.
- Get involved in automation, scripting, and helping us scale the platform as we grow.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting high‑performance or real‑time systems (finance, trading, or similar environments ideal).
- Strong Linux skills – you’re comfortable navigating and debugging from the command line.
- Good understanding of market data, order flows and related protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset, and being able to design and implement solutions, both tactical and strategic.
- Familiarity with Git and modern tooling around CI/CD.
- SQL proficiency – from writing queries to basic database operations.
- Experience with AWS Cloud, or other similar providers.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and RabbitMQ.
- Backend Tech: Kotlin, Nodejs, TypeScript, RabbitMQ.
- IaaS: AWS.
- Databases: MySQL.
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Paessler PRTG, CloudWatch, MS Security XDR, OpenSearch.
