If you’re looking for a career where your work genuinely matters, this could be the opportunity for you. Join an award-winning local care provider dedicated to supporting young adults to live happy, independent and fulfilling lives. Our privately owned company is based locally and specialises in supporting young adults with neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries and learning disabilities. We are passionate about empowering the people we support to achieve their goals, build confidence, and take an active role in their communities.
About the Role
A very rare opportunity to work 9am to 3pm (Monday – Friday). As a Care Assistant / Support Worker, you’ll provide meaningful, person-centred support rather than rushing between short visits. In most cases, you’ll work with one young adult on a one-to-one basis, giving you the time to build trust and make a real impact. Your support will help individuals achieve personal milestones such as gaining independence, moving into their own home, developing friendships, exploring hobbies, and even starting work or education opportunities. This is a rewarding role where every day can be different, and where your encouragement and support can have a lasting positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs
- Encourage independence and help build confidence in everyday tasks
- Support individuals with daily routines, activities and personal goals
- Accompany and support people with social activities, hobbies and community outings
- Assist with appointments and day-to-day responsibilities where required
- Work closely with colleagues as part of a supportive and professional team
- Participate in training and development to build your skills and knowledge
Full training will be provided, so previous specialist experience is not required although it is preferred.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who are caring, reliable and motivated to support others. Ideal candidates will have:
- A positive outlook and genuine interest in helping people live independently
- A compassionate and empathetic approach
- Strong reliability and a professional attitude
- Previous care or support experience (beneficial but not essential)
- The right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
- Residence in or near Crawley or the surrounding area
Above all, we value people who want to make a difference and are willing to learn.
What We Offer

- Starting pay from £13.41 per hour for weekday shifts
- The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the people you support
- Full induction training and ongoing professional development
- Access to recognised care qualifications
- Clear career progression within brain injury and learning disability support
