Stores Person Coventry £25,000 – £28,000 per annum 37.5 hours per week, working a standard day shift Permanent Role Arch Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for a Stores Person for a Manufacturing company based in Coventry. This is a position suited to candidates with experience working within a goods in/out environment and hold an FLT counterbalance licence. Role responsibilities – * For the role of Stores Person, you will pick components and major assemblies such as engines or gearboxes for issue to either works order or sales orders using appropriate materials handling equipment provided. * Pack appropriate cartons or pallets any of the company’s products to satisfy works orders or sales orders. * You will allocate and issue stock to works orders or sales orders using the computer system for the role of Stores Operative. * Process workshop returns on Sage and return items to correct bin locations. * You will determine shipping costs for domestic and international parcels and advise Sales Department to agree with customers for the role of Stores Operative. * Check customer account status / payment status and raise despatch notes when payment status is OK. * You will book parcel carriers or nominated freight handling company for the role of Stores Operative. * Loading and unloading delivery and collection vehicles using forklift or materials handling equipment provided. * For the Stores Operative role, you will be collecting or delivering parts using company vehicles. * Be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area. * Where necessary, assist in the erection and dismantling of company exhibition stands from time to time. * Assess and recognise personal training requirements and communicate them to the Directors for consideration. * Participate in internal and external meetings and training as necessary & identified by the Directors. * Maintain an appropriate level of personal appearance (including PPE) suited to the specific environment in which the SP is operating and within guidelines provided by the company. * Maintain personally and promote within the team a flexible attitude towards working hours, Role requirements – * You will be required to have experience working within a Stores environment for the role of Stores Person. * A full and clean drivers’ licence is required, to be able to drive the company Van. * For the role of Stores Person, you will hold an FLT Counterbalance licence.
