The Role

  • Machinery design for customer orders
  • R&D projects and new product development
  • Cost‑saving engineering improvements
  • Final testing of equipment, occasionally in front of customers
  • Full ownership of design, development, and release for manufacture
  • Creation of build manuals, user manuals, statutory documentation, and testing documentation

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong engineering fundamentals with attention to detail.
  • ERP/MRP capability — ideally Business Central, or similar
  • 2D drawing competence and confidence with factory/layout design
  • High digital literacy — strong with modern tools, and AI skills are a major advantage
  • Ambition, resilience, and the hunger to help transform an engineering department
  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • An excellent understanding of pneumatic control is ideal
  • Experience of ATEX and CE marking requirements ideal
  • Ideally more than 10 years’ experience from the packaging industry or similar
