A privately owned, fast‑moving business is looking for a hands‑on, energetic Management Accountant who wants to step into a role where their work genuinely shapes the direction of the company. This is not a back‑office reporting job — it’s a position for someone who thrives on ownership, pace, and being close to the numbers that drive real decisions.

Working directly with the Finance Director and the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a central role in producing high‑quality management accounts, driving monthly forecasting, and supporting the business with insight that influences performance, growth, and strategy. If you’re an ambitious accountant who wants to make a visible impact, this is the opportunity.

The Role

You will be the heartbeat of the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring the business has accurate, timely, and commercially meaningful financial information. You’ll work across operations, commercial, and leadership teams to bring clarity, challenge, and forward‑looking analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, commentary, and KPI reporting
  • Lead the monthly forecasting process and support budgeting cycles
  • Partner with the Finance Director to provide insight, analysis, and decision support
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams to understand performance drivers
  • Support cashflow forecasting, working capital analysis, and scenario modelling
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Assist with year‑end processes, audit preparation, and statutory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and financial visibility
  • Provide ad‑hoc analysis to the Senior Leadership Team to support strategic initiatives
