Arch is recruiting a Senior Actuarial Analyst with experience in London Market pricing to join the Pricing team.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the day to day pricing for several lines of business.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, including the transition of pricing models from Excel to HX Renew where necessary.
  • Experience in HX Renew and EASA is required.
  • Large account analysis and pricing: use sophisticated actuarial techniques to assess the pricing adequacy of large account opportunities and communicate results and key drivers to underwriters and senior management. Communication is a key part of this role.
  • Portfolio Management: develop reports and analysis to monitor the performance of segments within Arch’s London Market insurance business and communicate key findings to underwriters and senior management.
  • Exposure to other functions including Reserving and Planning will be expected.
  • Be a key communication channel with our actuarial team in Manila.

Qualifications

  • Have several years of experience in London Market pricing.
  • Have technical proficiency in Excel, with proficiency in SQL, Python and/or HX Renew an advantage.
  • Be undertaking an Actuarial qualification.
  • Be a problem solver, be inquisitive and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Personable and able to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
