The successful candidate will work with underwriters, claims teams, actuaries, operations, and software engineers to improve how reinsurance work gets done, turning real business problems into solutions that move metrics and drive measurable value. This role is designed for reinsurance domain specialists who are ready to step into Product Management. The position will report to the Head of Product.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Product ownership & delivery: Own a defined reinsurance “value stream” area and its roadmap. Translate business needs into clear outcomes, user journeys, prioritized work and releases. Partner with engineering to shape scope, sequence delivery, manage dependencies, and ship iteratively.
- Discovery & problem solving: Run structured discovery: stakeholder interviews, workflow mapping, pain-point analysis, and data review. Define hypotheses and success measures (OKRs/KPIs) before building. Identify quick wins and longer term platform or process improvements.
- Execution & stakeholder management: Maintain a healthy roadmap and backlog. Drive adoption of your product: training, change management inputs, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst (or similar) in reinsurance/insurance.
- Experience working with reinsurance function areas such as underwriting, claims, operations, pricing, exposure management, actuarial support.
- Strong understanding of the reinsurance value chain and how work flows across functions.
- Proven ability to break down complex problems, document requirements, and align stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work with data (Excel/BI, operational metrics) to support prioritization and decisions.
- Clear communication and confidence engaging with senior business leaders.
- Exposure to Agile delivery, product practices, user stories, or workflow/automation tools is a plus.
- Experience with policy or admin platforms, claims systems, pricing tools, or data platforms in re/insurance is also a plus.
- Familiarity with OKRs, business cases, or benefits tracking is preferred.
