The main purpose of the role is to support the management of Financial Risk and Internal Model Validation across Lloyd’s, London Market and UK P&C business. In terms of Model Validation, the role supports Independent Validation of models as required, and works with the Capital Modelling team to develop and quality assure key model uses.
In terms of Financial Risk Management, the role involves:
- Supporting the presentation of an enterprise-wide view of financial risk.
- Delivering challenge to first line stakeholders in relation to the setting of risk appetite and the effective management of Arch’s risk strategy and financial risk exposures.
- Quantitative analysis of risk exposures to provide insights for Board and Senior Executives.
Coverage of the role includes capital management, reserving, pricing, underwriting, exposure management, outwards reinsurance and strategic analytics. This is a hands-on technical role with a “big picture” focus, offering a balance between implementation work, and collaboration & oversight with teams across the business.
