The Business Solutions Manager – Product Management will lead the development and adoption of Product Management capability across Arch International, while operating as a senior member of the Business Solutions team.

The role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into clear product strategies, roadmaps, prioritised initiatives and measurable business outcomes.

It will help establish consistent standards, governance and ways of working, including the development of a Product Management Centre of Excellence.

The role will also contribute to the wider Business Solutions agenda, providing flexible leadership across strategy, transformation, process, operating model, technology, data and organisational priorities as required.

The role works closely with Strategic Operations Managers, Product Owners, Technology, Data & Analytics, Process & Operational Excellence teams and senior business leaders to improve prioritisation, delivery readiness, governance and value realisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Management Leadership and Centre of Excellence
  • Establish and maintain the Product Management Centre of Excellence.
  • Define common standards, templates and ways of working for product strategy, product vision, roadmaps, prioritisation, demand management, OKRs, product lifecycle management and benefits realisation.
  • Build Product Management capability across Strategic Operations Managers, Product Owners and Business Solutions colleagues.
  • Lead communities of practice and knowledge‑sharing forums to support consistent adoption of Product Management practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on Product Management principles, governance and operating models.
  • Product Strategy, Portfolio Governance and Roadmap Oversight
  • Translate strategic objectives into product strategies, roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Support the development of product visions, target outcomes and value measures.
  • Facilitate prioritisation discussions across competing business demands.
  • Ensure product investments align with business strategy, customer outcomes and organisational objectives.
  • Maintain visibility of cross‑product dependencies, risks and trade‑offs.
  • Support portfolio governance, investment decisions and business case development.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and value realisation.
  • IT Alignment and Product Governance
  • Act as the Business Solutions lead for Product Management alignment with IT.
  • Promote clear understanding of Product Manager, Product Owner and business stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Support adoption of product‑focused planning and governance approaches under the IT framework.
  • Ensure demand management and prioritisation practices align with organisational governance expectations.
  • Improve consistency between strategic planning, product management and delivery execution.
  • Recommend improvements to operating model effectiveness and role clarity.
  • Strategic Business Solutions Partnership
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities, challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide constructive challenge, insight and recommendations to support decision‑making.
  • Support business transformation, operating model development and strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration across business, operations, technology, finance, data and analytics teams.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Product Management, Strategic Operations, Business Transformation, Portfolio Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps and prioritisation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Product Management operating models, governance and value management.
  • Experience influencing senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience operating within a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.

Desirable

  • Experience establishing or contributing to a Product Management Centre of Excellence.
